HealthSouth Emerald Coast Rehabilitation Hospital is a 75-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital that offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services designed to return patients to leading active and independent lives.

At HealthSouth Emerald Coast, we are committed to providing a
team approach for patient rehabilitation. Our on-site medical director leads a highly qualified group of physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers and support members to provide a coordinated program of care. HealthSouth Emerald Coast offers a more comprehensive regime and a higher level of care with daily physician visits, certified rehabilitation nurses, around-the-clock nursing care and personalized therapy program.
Our hospital provides a wide range of
physical rehabilitation services, a vast network of highly-skilled, independent private practice physicians and HealthSouth therapists and nurses, and the most innovative equipment and
rehabilitation technology, ensuring that all patients have access to the highest quality care. Designed with our patient’s care in mind, HealthSouth Emerald Coast offers patient rooms with televisions, telephones, wireless internet capabilities, personal storage closet, and private patient bathrooms.
In addition to caring for patients with general rehabilitation diagnoses such as
trauma,
head injury,
spinal cord injury,
arthritis, chronic pain, neuromuscular diseases,
amputation, musculoskeletal conditions and
pulmonary diseases, HealthSouth Emerald Coast has specialized inpatient programs for
stroke rehabilitation.Other services offered include
wound care,
bowel and bladder management,
Parkinson’s,
hip fractures and
joint replacement.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies as needed.
